The only photo I have with keyword hole (singular) is this one from last year. There must have been more than one hole in it because going back this year the trunk had been felled. Hole within which there was a great spotted woodpeckers nest. The tree is a eucalyptus at Ness Botanic Garden. It is Hope cement works near Castleton in the Peak District. A blot on the landscape with a big quarry next to it, but I love seeing it, always have done. Luckily the area is on our doorstep (ish) so often go wandering/cycling in that area and when I do the drive days in the supercars, I take them around that area too. It featured on one of C4's idents (I always wondered what they called that segment) at around 15-18 sec mark. |
