I tend to throw away gross exposure errors and they don't happen so much these days anyway with mirrorless exposure preview. A search on Bright threw up New Brighton where there is a lighthouse whose function is to be bright. The picture took a 1 stop exposure increase in Lightroom without obvious burnout - select subject and invert - gave me another stop exposure increase on the surroundings so by usual accounts this is bordering over-exposure of a bright subject at New Brighton. That's used up all my creativity for the week. Taken in February 2016 with a Canon 1Div and 70-200 F2.8. Edit: It must also have been a bright day as the exposure was 1/1000 @f8 ISO 200. We had a high-key theme in May 2023 which I think produced this conversion. IMG_0043.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

I suspect this was a grey day rather than a bright day but it takes an increase in exposure quite well. IMG_0013.jpg by Pete, on Flickr
