Not watching clearly helps. I'm torturing myself by watching Shania Twain at Glastonbury. Just like England, so much potential but a piss poor performance.

That was actually a rather entertaining game, although little of that was due to England's quality. Slovakia, had they taken their chances in ET, could have easily deserved to go through. Organised, committed, hard working, and intelligent play. England were so so poor and it seems unsurprising that it took their two top players to score their only goals from their only shots on target.

Am I dreaming that, at first, they announced 5 minutes extra time and then changed it to 6 minutes? Had they stuck with 5 then what a different story!

The nightmare is that Spain walloped Georgia (eventually) by going full tilt at them. We bored Slovakia and snuck past them with a Gareth Bale copycat goal and another goal from Sunday morning football. |
