My roof terrace in Spain is relatively private and I often get my kit off when lying out. My neighbour told me last year that he poked his head around the wall to say hello and got a nice surprise. He wouldn’t be drawn into whether he was impressed or not! This was a rented apartment so we had to get the most out of it whilst we were there...

Keiths photo of him on the terrace, reminded me of this (obvs had similar skimpy trunks). Taken from a hotel terrace when I was a young lad (this was my friend who I went on holiday with and not me). He burnt his bum on the beach, so thought he'd even it up on the privacy of the terrace. It must have been so sore. No wonder a lot of folk our age end up with a melanoma! It was not that hot and there was a slight breeze which was blowing a light haar off the North Sea, I was so burnt that I had difficulty driving the car that evening and the tan line lasted for at least four years, which was longer than the girl friend.

Spire. Not entirely sure about this. A spire, in church setting, is something tall and slender upon a steeple when nearly all of my church photos the steeple, where it exists, ends in a weather vane or lightening conductor. The closest I can get is St Martin in the Fields but I'm not entirely convinced it counts as a spire because it has an orb in it. IMG_0023.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

St Peter's, Marlborough. Still not convinced they classify as spires - certainly decorative in design and reaching for the sky in purpose. IMG_0023.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

Monumental spire on a wet day in the city of dreaming spires. DSCF3243.jpg by Pete, on Flickr I decided to tone down the red traffic light - full left exposure and highlight sliders in Lightroom.

Itsy bitsy spire on the Sheldonian theatre. I thought I had more pics of Oxford but seems not. DSCF3241.jpg by Pete, on Flickr
