This is the "dirtiest" that I can think of at the moment. I prepared it for a theme in 2020 but it dates back to 2012. I'll go back over the event later to see if there are other crops. It is a shame he is not looking at the camera but this was half-way through a 180 degree turn, up-hill on what was once grass. At the time I was taken by the thorns embedded in the helmet - not all that visible at this scale but he must have gone through a large bramble bush at some point. BV9R0359.jpg by Pete, on Flickr It is Roman Day at Chester races today and I would expect the going to be "soft". The jockeys can get filthy, there's a lot of mud thrown up by the hooves, so I might go down later and see if I can get anything if I feel up to the walk - it is a couple of miles in all.

My dirty cycle shot does not look very impressive compared to the expert riders above. Bewlwater 2023-03-03-0002 by Keith Hudson, on Flickr My old bike on a circuit of Bewl Water Reservoir with the kids when they were younger.

Spent the night in Manchester City Centre last night. got up this morning and had a quick wander around. It wasn't that dirty at all as the road cleaners had obviously been out. Untitled by Nigel G, on Flickr I reckon it might get more dirty in Tropical Palms! Untitled by Nigel G, on Flickr

The going was firmer than I expected (especially as they announced that no parking beyond what had been prepaid was going to be allowed on the centre course) and so no muddy faces - although a fair bit flying around. I didn't hang around after the third race because the track wasn't getting chewed up. Not as dirty as expected. DSCF7765-Enhanced-NR.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

On the way back from the races I had a sit down. Here are some [slightly] dirty knees (well at 100 % view on the original the grass stains show up) and even dirtier editing in that I removed the kids playing football using the new AI removal tool. It took two stages of refinement, the last one in a zoomed view, and absolutely ages. Though I must conclude that the work is being done on a supercomputer somewhere in the cloud. Last night I was playing and Lightroom told me to "come back later". I'm stumped. I can only think of inflatable objects. Some footballs are plastic. I don't know what small balloons are made of - once upon a time one would have said rubber but more likely a synthetic these days. I ought to do some research before posting but I want my breakfast. Tall bit of plasticky stuff. I don't think it would be metal foil. IMG_0135.jpg by Pete, on Flickr
