Since our climate is throwing up extremes of weather, it crossed my mind to challenge you to show me a photograph of something extreme.
It can be contrast, or colour, or crowds or something solitary. It can be extreme minimalism or eye candy, or food or drink extremes of your taste or appetite.
Anything which says to me extreme.
You can just push your photography method to extreme.
All I ask is a short explanation of what you feel is extreme about what you choose to show me this month.

Well, I am told, almost every time I post this snap from almost 30 years ago, that it is too extreme ... what say you, the good folks of "the snappers social club / AP forums" ... . . . Cheers, Jack

View AttachmentCheers, Jack I for one have always been impressed that not only were you able to be on the scene but that you captured what, to most of us, are situations we never see. I have always just felt pity for those so far removed from my life and circumstances. We need reminding that it happens and is not hidden in our environment. I admire your work and for those who have to deal with the situations you photographed.

Fairly extreme colours. There were several guys who said they'd seen a garden warbler in the tree this chap was flitting around in. I gave it a few minutes and then gave up. DSCF7667.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

Thanks very much, Kate , and, FWIW, I've had more than a few snaps deemed "a tad too much or too graphic" by various (photo) editors over the yearsand, in fact, this snap took around 5 or 6 years before a magazine with a huge Christian readership deem it worthy of publishing it. Of course, the backlash was overwhelming . The editor/publisher, if memory serves, used the snap in an editorial saying that provincial NDP (leftish) government were being too lackadaisical in their attempts to cut down on the drug use in Vancouver. Cheers, Jack

This was taken during Covid times. Our local Arts centre, and old church by the graveyard, perhaps a memento mori. and I didn't doctor the sign, the snow just happened to cover the top of the h street-30 by Dan, on Flickr
