My BMI is perfect...despite my best efforts with pies and beer. Just over 6' and 72kg and have been since my teens. I’m too short for my BMI and weight!

Under 100kg - Congrats I'm stable at 100kg, which at 6ft tall and heavy build is good for me. Been this weight (a kilo either side) for over 30yrs Although the BMI (crap) says that I am obese and that I should be nearer 70kg which I haven't been that weight since I was about 13yrs old! I am 6 ft too. My BMI said I am obese too. I know the BMI wants me to be the weight of a wet bag, but like you, probably not been that light for many years. I know when I was working I generally sat around the 14-14.5 stone mark but I was active and doing physical exercise on a regular basis. My BMI was still too high but I was more muscular. I have set my goal to 90kg (about 14 stone) so around that area would be good, mainly to get rid of the belly I was developing and luckily I can see it getting smaller and my trousers are now looser. Guess I'm Mr Average...6'0" and 100 kg

The BMI was discredited when I was doing my nursing training.
And that wasn't too recent.

I'm 183cm and managed to drop from 118kg to 95kg in about four months.
Wonderful what chemo and radio can do.
Went back up to 115kg but have managed to get down to 104kg all by myself.

S I took my mum to a garden centre last year and she met a woman who she knew from her weight watchers club but had not seen her for a while. My mum commented on her looking good and losing weight. She replied that she was on the chemo diet for cancer. I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me.

Like when I was sitting in the Bell's when one of the regulars said to me: "Cheer up! Why the long face? Smile it could be worse!" And Aaron behind the bar "whispered" to him "Dave died yesterday" He actually said "Of f**k I wish the ground would open up and swallow me!"

Sorry I have no idea why my posts come out the way they do!

Sorry I have no idea why my posts come out the way they do! I suspect for the same reasons that my posts often come out awry. The Bell's beer and Morrison's plonk both contain alcohol.

I’m too short for my BMI and weight! Me too - I suspect that there are a lot of us about who are like this
