On the Word Association thread just did my response to eunuch, with a reference to a book/play studied for O level English literature.
Funnily enough as well as Little Malcolm and his struggle against the Eunuchs, we did The Visit, the story of a woman wronged who gains revenge on those who wronged her, including Koby and Loby ( shortened Eastern European names) who she had castrated and blinded.
I wonder if Germaine Greer was an examiner that year (1975!)
