There are now 2 possible issues: 1. The possibility of rail strikes affecting trains to Salisbury on 6 April, although at the moment it looks like Southwestern Railway will not be affected on this date 2. The rail repalcement buses from Andover add about 40 minutes to the journey time for anyone heading southwards on the main lines from Waterloo direction.
Are you still hoping to go ahead with this, Martin? The adult park and ride fare is £3 so if we're still on, I will look at how to get to one of the car parks

Let's do a roll call to see who's planning on coming. The current weather forecast isn't great, but isn't truly awful either.

I'm still not sure. My eyes are getting better but they'll put pretty serious drops in when I go to the hospital on Thurs. Perhaps best to say no at present.

I certainly can't make it that weekend. The way my leg is, there is no way I could do anything. I had a ticket for a gig in Manchester last night. Parked my car less than a 10 minute walk away from the venue. I was almost in tears with the pain by the time I got near, so I turned around and went home. no way could I have stood for a couple of hours! the pain was making me feel nauseous.

Perhaps we should plan a Lourdes meet?

Given the accuracy of the clickbait weather forecasters, clearly snow is possible falling from a 1500 mile long blizzard...

Certainly people taking the piss doesn’t bother me. I have an MRI booked for tomorrow for a lumbar spine scan, with the follow up consultation on 8/4 . Edit I have just received a copy of the letter sent to my GP Quote Ahh nice I reviewed this pleasant 59-year-old right handed retired police office in my clinic at his request….. Ouch On examination, he is of tall stature and had moderately raised BMI….

When I had an examination at the maxillo-facial clinic, his letter started same way - "I examined this pleasant xx year old gentleman..." or words to that effect.
I suppose if they miss out the 'pleasant' it's code for 'If you send this git to me again, you're off the Christmas card list' or something similar.

I have an MRI booked for tomorrow for a lumbar spine scan, with the follow up consultation on 8/4 . That should identify if there is any disk damage. If there is they can do wonders to fix it. Good that they seem to be acting quite quickly. My wife had a 2 year being messed about wait for a "simple fix" to a burst disk. Can't prove it but I understand the GP practice had blown their budget with the hospital. If I'd known the delay was due to money I'd have borrowed it.

This is through my private insurance so I’d expect it to be quick!
