Have always felt a little uncomfortable about posting pic's of churchyards as though it's a weird thing to do. Although I enjoy the peace and tranquility churchyards offer. Looking at the stones, from the simplicity of the poor to the OTT splendour of the rich, even in death we are not all equal St Jude's Church DSC_0548-2000 by Stephen Hayto, on Flickr

Admittedly it can get some odd looks when reviewing the days pictures in the hotel bar whilst having a drink in the evening.

We had a theme on cemeteries back in November 2021. I went out on purpose. DSCF6364.jpg by Pete, on Flickr Edit (hours later) : I just had to fix the white balance - it is awful. DSCF6364.jpg by Pete, on Flickr DSCF6349.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

This is ancient (2007) and the original is jpeg so I can't recover much detail from it. I was scanning a search on churches in thumbnail and the shape of the top of the font cover caught my eye as it seemed to be shadowed by what clearer inspection shows to be the end of a pew. The candle has a cross on it in red. Doesn't really show at this resolution. Holy Cross Church, Sparsholt. IMG_0078.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

Two very stylised crosses on the church at Llanrhaedr. Taken in 2008. IMG_0007.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

It would appear that I made several efforts to include this cross in the photograph of the church. Not very successfully. After messing around for a while I conclude that it isn't standing quite straight. IMG_0019.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

I like the second pic with the tumbled headstones very much. Could make a great night time shoot The gates close at dusk and I'm not climbing in there at night. Anyway it would be pitch black. There is also a problem with folk you wouldn't want to meet after dark climbing in to abuse various substances.
