Tonbridge (with an "o") or Tunbridge Wells (with a "u" and Wells) - often get mixed up and has caused great confusion in the past. Good Luck Mick For my first visit to Tonbridge DC which is in the impressive Guy Gibson building, I was given the address of Tunbridge Wells Council chambers which I thought was handy as we know someone who lives in T Wellies. Doh!!

I’m confused and I was before coming here. I’ve not heard anything about the TV situation today it’s annoying to have a 40inch smart tv unable to connect to the internet and I am watching Netflix and YouTube on a 9inch iPad screen. Going back to Tonbridge and Tunbridge I used to be a rep in a previous life time and this corner of South East England was mine so visited the towns many times but I’ve never been to Wells. Care Homes are run on a shoestring. All singing dancing business internet access costs. Hence my recommendation re self sufficiency which combined with Andy's info on how to connect to old tellys should work. Does not help you currently but I do recommend getting the gear before your next RC. W
The internet box I think called a reponder is literally the other side of the wall the tv is on probably a metre away from it but the won’t shake hands 🙌.. I’ve given up all hope and am now watching Netflix on my iPad you are right about taking a fire stick with me next time 👍

I assume that your reference to Wells is tongue in cheek! For the avoidance of doubt and for those who live a long way away let's clarify. In Kent there are two towns, very close to each other. One is Tonbridge and the other Tunbridge Wells (from the Victorian Well, the water of which is supposed to have medicinal properties). Both are pronounced TUnbridge. There's often confusion especially as they are adjacent stops on the train. It's quite common for a passenger to get off at the wrong stop.

Sometimes also known as Royal Tunbridge Wells. Officially always known as Royal . That's the proper name of the town but the Royal is dropped except in formal scenarios.
Mick - even more pedantic

The full name of our local harbour is Ramsgate Royal Harbour, though the ‘Royal’ bit is often dropped. Dave - just a little bit pedantic.

So much for respite care, I’m typing this laying in bed at Pembury Hospital recovering from Sepsis and New Pneumonia Heather rather than getting a break has been staying in I travel lodge and feeding me etc to help the hard pressed staff. I’m getting better but Heather is absolutely exhausted so maybe needs more respite

I hope that you recover from the sepsis and pneumonia, and that Heather can get a break without too much worry for you.
