1927 Magdeburg lathe in use up until about six years ago. I love the big old lathes but often wonder what the floor must have been like when they were i use, essentially the operator would be walking in the chip tray.

A small SouthBend Lathe I owned years ago. With screw cutting gear box, very nice lathe in the next level to my little Drummond M where everything, feed rate and screw cutting is done by change wheels.

When I sold the SouthBend these are the machines I replaced it with. More powerful and capable. Oh, I wish I had the space.

Dad's standard lamp taken in the morning sunlight on one of the last days that I stayed in the Yorkshire house before putting it on the market. Lamp shade by Keith Hudson, on Flickr I remember the lamp came from a reproductions shop in Beverley in the mid 1970's. It now has pride of place and a new more modern shade in our front room in London.
