Note to self: Don't commit to doing something last minute when you have other commitments in the evening that may have involved friends and a bottle of wine, or two. Note to self #2: Try to keep up with Feb's themes, we are away skiing from the 4th so plenty of Sports equipment opportunities for the 10th. I will struggle this month. We go away on Monday and not back until end of Feb. I won't have my laptop with me, but will try using an iPad to post any images I may take to suit the theme.

Since I'm due to get a tooth out on the 13th, cooked eggs sounds a real possibility.

231007-Scott-Kelby-2023-012 by Kath Polley, on Flickr You didn't say it had to be a naturally occuring rocky shoreline. Flood defenses for the new swimming pool. A hefty part of the £22m spent on the project. Rain on lens or giant dust bunnies on the sensor?

Mudstones at Walton on the Naze for Mike. Taken in 2014 and never looked at until now - probably because focus is all wrong. Taken with a 400 mm lens - must have been birding. From context I had walked out along the beach under the Naze to Stone Point then back inland to the sea wall. BV9R0079.jpg by Pete, on Flickr They don't look so rocky in close up I used to swim at stone point regularly as a boy, we'd spend the night anchored in the channel, then us boys had a swim in the morning while mum was getting dressed & making breakfast. I've only walked there on a couple of occasions having got caught by a squall on the way back...

Looking across to Harwich/Felixstowe - indeed the rocks are rather few and small out on the point DSCF2460.jpg by Pete, on Flickr
