Christmas isn't over yet. For modern Christians it's sunset on the 6th of January. For traditionalists it's February 2nd (Candlemas). For miserable sods it never started...

Less than three months to the execution.

Christmas?
If it wasn't for the extra rubbish on TV, and Radio 3 being briefly taken over by the God Squad, I might not have noticed.

Christmas isn't over yet. For modern Christians it's sunset on the 6th of January. For traditionalists it's February 2nd (Candlemas). I was seriously considering leaving the tree up until Candlemas. Not because I'm a rigorous observer of traditional customs but because I seriously couldn't be arsed. However my youngest came over on Saturday and we ordered a curry and took all the decorations down. Apparnelty it would be 'embarrassing' to still have the tree up in Feb. I care not one jot but was overruled.

We've taken most down, but left two strings up in windows because we need some joy when it's dark and shite outside.

I took everything down yesterday evening, all packed away now until next year. I don't put much up, but I did have a mini tree that sat on a half round table.

Ours all came down last week. Hopefully the crepe paper decorations that go from corner to corner of the room and a green tissue bell that I made at school will last another year. The gas mask thing that we had has changed slightly as half of the bulbs on the lights we were using went out. So we have used the lights that we had on the tree. It is now a permanent feature. I'll take a pic in a bit.

We were minimalist this year. Tree and lights down a couple of days ago.

As mentioned above, here is the pic of a new permanent feature. There is no need to tell me we are odd! Gas Mask Lights by Nigel G, on Flickr

Nope. If we do sell, they'll probably get the horse only.
Not had photos done yet, as we haven't chosen which agent to go with and we have one more this week. In fairness though, the 3 so far have the same fees and all more or less give the same value, so I guess it is down to who we liked the most.
Anyway, if we do end up with the house we like, they have 2 cows in theirs! (Knowing the history of them, I doubt they'd leave them)
