I have received an Email from AG Lab about this. A new 200 ISO colour negative film from Harman, Phoenix 200. This is not rebadged stock from elsewhere but manufactured at the Harman/Ilford plant at Mobberley. Limited stocks of the first production run are now on sale. Apparently a fairly high-contrast emulsion.

£12+ a roll though. Looks interesting but I'm fast losing the motivation to keep paying the going rate for film.

That's the norm now unfortunately. I now confine myself to XP2 in 35mm. I sold my Pentax 645 as Fuji discontinued all 120 colour negative stock.

The price looks to be in the middle price bracket for modern day films.
Have just watched a couple of youtubes about it, it seems very muddy at box speed and dull days, but alright on bright days. Some thoughts were that it is still a bit under development and may need tweaking a bit by Mr Harman.
Think I'll wait a while before trying it.

S Yeah, I'm reluctant to take a punt on it as is, but they have said it's a limited run with the profits going into refining/improving. So there's an incentive to help out on that journey but a reluctance to being the guinea pig, at that price per roll.

I've shot much less colour since Poundland stopped selling Agfa film at £1 a roll .

I think it's worth adding that the current formula gives a very marmite look - it isn't one I'm all that keen on, so I'll happily wait for them to refine/improve the performance.

I'm using Fomapan in large format but typically use FP-4 and HP-5 for 135 and 120 as I like how they come out. I keep meaning to try some of the smaller formats in Fomapan 200 .

I keep meaning to try some of the smaller formats in Fomapan 200 . I buy my monochrome film from B&H in New York. Even with the postage to New Zealand, it's economical for larger quantities, like bulk rolls. The roll in my bulk loader is Kentmere 100, and when that runs out I have 100 ft of Arista Edu Ultra ready to go in - this is repackaged Fomapan 100.
