Until yesterday I didn't own this. We went and played 18 holes of adventure golf with the guys next door and they decided that the winner of the game won this cup and named it the ugly cup. I won. Ugly cup by Nigel G, on Flickr An incentive to not try really!

Floorboards at Chirk Castle today. Looks like Flickr is well broken. I'll see if this post works but although the image (and 2 others) uploaded with no error messages it has taken two tries and five minutes to get the BBC link. Armoured door. This was the first "grain" that I saw today. It wasn't until post-processing it that I noticed that the nails are not level and the deviation from horizontal increase down the door. The row is quite level at the top. Most odd. I certainly didn't notice until I put a grid on it. DSCF6697.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

I suppose this [once upon a time] might have been cut for a [small] table top or similar - just a slice through a trunk, I can't imagine another use. It was just leaning against a wall at Chirk.
