Tried to post this earlier from ipad and failed. Windfall on plastic grass. Artificial turf offcuts are great for suppressing weeds (from below), much better than the traditional allotment stand by mix of cardboard and black plastic sheet. I wish we had wild parrots up here in the North of England. We do still get them but not in the numbers we used to, one theory was that the rise in the birds of prey population is controlling their numbers.
