Nikita was the weakest by some margin. She was, but I do think it's a lot to do with confidence. Most of the 'not fantastic' dancers were praised for their 'performance' skills yesterday. She hasn't developed that performance skill and so her weak dancing looks even worse. I would like to state for the record that I'd be even worse than the worst of them. I'm under no illusions about having any musicality, rhythm, coordination or stamina! So you're signed up for next year!

One of the other things I don't have (and wouldn't want) is any form of celebrity status. I think I'm pretty safe!

Ah well. At least Anton Du Beke is no longer a dancer. I'm sure I'd have been paired with him. (I mean, I'd love that - think he's great - but suspect his heart would be in his boots at the thought of having to drag me around the dance floor. We're looking at Ann Widdicombe levels of ability here, if that. I'd make Les Dennis look properly elegant.)

As you say Les Denis would have nothing to worry about.
Many, many years ago I attended a few ballroom dancing lessons. I never got past the absolute basics and found that well-nigh impossible, so I admire these folk even thinking about fleckles and so on!

We had ballroom dancing lessons at secondary school - although since it was a Catholic school, we didn't get to dance with girls at the lessons. If you wished to dance with girls, the dance instructor ran a dance at his studio on Friday evenings.

We learned Highland dancing at school. We also learned that it hurts less if you slip a hip flask into your dance partner's sporran and consume the contents out of sight of teachers. Strip the willow was a particularly painful one but I can injure myself doing a St Bernard's Waltz...

I've just watched yesterday's show on catch up.
I'm still rooting for Ellie, Angela S and Layton. I've been reading a lot of bile online about how he shouldn't be getting 10s because he's already a 'professional' which i personally htink is tosh. He's not a professional ballroom dancer. But Ellie was amazing. I think Nigel is doing well too. I feel Zara is struggling and the Krishnan hasn't got a lot more to give, nor Adam really. I don't know why Eddie keeps beign marked so low but for once I did think Angela Rippon was great. I forgot about her age this week. Just not sure how she's going to cope with a jive though.

Well if Strictly was a professional sport, those judges would be investigated for match fixing.

Anyone finding the sound ballance between dance music and chat boggin'? Herself has just popped through to complain about it. Perhaps she asked you to turn down your dance music because she was struggling to chat with a friend?
