It is a bit hot to go out looking for roofs even if there were any suitable vantage points. I thought I had posted this on APForum before but if I did so it would be a Flickr resized version of a 2010 JPG made with DPP. I've had a new go at it in LR. Inside of the roof of the abbaye at Villers la Ville, Belgium, 2010. That was a very hot day. There was a photoshoot going on in here when I got there and I had to wait for them to push off. I've not seen people carrying large gold reflectors before. IMG_0058.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

The only tall urban vantage point that I can recall is from the tower of the cathedral in Seville. Very annoyingly I had set my travel compact up as a point and shoot for someone to borrow, who then didn't. I was walking out of the cathedral when I remembered. Too late as it was, it took me over 20 minutes to figure out how to reset it to save raw pics (darned context sensitive menu choices) which more or less finished me off with the Canon G10. I disliked that camera with a vengeance. The best I could do with an overexposed jpg from 2013. IMG_0046.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

For a moment I wondered what the pope was doing up there.

Time passes as measured by Early in the year, I wait for the sun to rise enough to creep along the mantelpiece until high enough to reach me at my desk, beyond the end, at the corner. ap sun creeps along the mantelpiece by Kate Ferris, on Flickr
