These were built to extend the railway into London Bridge, the railway originally started here.

Which at the time was the closest railway station to central London, it did not take long for railway companies to realise that despite the difficulty of building them there was money to be made from passenger and goods stations in London town.

Lots of pillars and arches.   I  thought I'd work up this reject from 2014.  The plane of focus is too close but at this scale it isn't apparent.  The last version (on a similar but deeper focus shot) I really warmed up but this "probably" more accurate although 9 years is a bit long to remember!
