Sorry about your camera Simon, I hope the next one is rather better.

Thank you, Geoff.
This is a minor set-back, I'm looking forward in shooting again.
Cheers, Simon.

The funds for the 1972 500 EL/M wasn't enough for me to buy the camera .
Instead I chose a different route and ended up with a pair of Pentax KX 35mm film cameras, one black body with the SMC Pentax-M 100 f2.8 lens with polarizing filter and OEM metal lens hood and the other camera, is a chrome body with SMC Pentax-M 50mm f2 lens with polarizing filter and rubber lens hood. It's a departure from the Hasselblad, at least for the time being I am shooting again with more reliable and slightly newer equipment.

I like my M50/2 but it hardly gets a look in since I got the 50/1.4 which isn't significantly larger or meaningfully heavier, and has a lot more character. Not used the 100/2.8 but it would fill a useful gap in my lens shelf, being a bit more useful than my M135/3.5. Anyway, I'm sure you'll enjoy your new kit, Pentax is still my favourite to use.

Ah, the KX - the one I don't have. For some reason, they have become expensive, here.

Update:
At the moment, I am putting off in buying another Hasselblad 500 EL/M due to the fact that it was no longer economically affordable.
