I have done a 2 hr drive today and let Amazon play random Sinead O’Connor teaks. The majority I had heard before, some not for a long time, and a couple I’ve not heard before including a duet with Roger Waters singing “Mother” live in Berlin. Very good. One, for personal reasons, bought a tear to my eye and that was her version of Don’t cry for me Argentina. I’ve not played that since 2016. I know why. My sister in law used to work for a record label and a paper as a music photographer. Sinead O’Connor sat for her in Boston. She has a lovely, typical Sinead photo of her. Possibly driving at the time helped by giving something to concentrate on. I hope so.
An impossible talent. And given her childhood and adolescence - surprisingly ballanced. I suspect an extremely high IQ.

Actually very good but you can see how the nut jobs would like it.

Holst planets with BBC welsh at the proms. So far so extremely good. Holst is every bit as exciting as Stravinsky. Sadly my grandfather and father hated both of them. They are both lyrical but not in a soppy way. Even JSB used disharmony in a challenging way. It always resolves itself.
