FUJICHROME professional 400D Heys guys got a load of this film a while back from a guy I had bought camera gear off. He had kept it all in his fridge. Anyway its obviously expired but still seems of value to people. I don't shoot film anymore so will probably sell it on ebay. Most of the stuff I see online is 120 not 35mm. Anyone know how much these are worth, I have 10 rolls all sealed in a pack. Attachment Deleted

That's a blast from the past. I seem to recall using one rol as a trial, for a 400 transparency film it seemed good.

Must be old, I remember when it was replaced by Provia 400... I would guess 20-25 years old.

Provia 400 (and 1600) didn't come out at the same time as the 100 - Fuji had the rather wonderful MS (multi speed) 100/1000 before that that was my fast slide film of choice it's really that I'm going off, as I didn't use the 400D. But I might be misremembering dates, for sure.

But now I'm thinking that was Trebi, and the 400X was maybe 2010-ish. Can't be bothered to Google it though!

FWIW, I was given 30 rolls of Fujichrome 400 for a job back in 1986 and they lasted me still around 2000. I used one roll for the job and the rest for fun such as this .. Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

I'm torn on pricing. Sell low to someone you know will use them, but on eBay at low price they'll probably get resold for a profit. Go high and you'll get silly money but then reinforcing the inaccessibility to transparency film for more cost conscious users.

At that age, and stored in a fridge rather than a freezer, I think I would try to sell to the Lomography crowd rather than the more general user, as the results may well be unpredictable. Which paradoxically means a higher price...

He's not joking. I saw a website selling expired rolls of currently available film at a higher price than you'd pay anywhere for the fresh stuff. It's mad.

Amazon has 36 exposure Fujichrome at something over £30 a roll, not sure which one though.
