How many post do you have to have before you are able to post pictures? None...zero...zip...nada We had to have that rule in on AP because of the sheer amount of spam we got - images with embedded messages to be picked up by Google bots etc, or worse. It was the only tool we had to fight that with the software we were using. Other packages allow different approaches.

I just seem to have one problem now. The narrow info strip beneath the header is squashed.

Not a bug or glitch but I thought I’d share how I am using this forum.
on AP Forum I’d use “new posts” to navigate, read what was interesting then “mark posts read”.
On this Forum the following is the closest I can get. I’m using desktop view on tablet because the forum resets the default view to this when I access the forum from my desktop.
From Home I touch/click the banner of the recent threads column on the right hand side. This pulls up, in the main window, a most recent first list of changed threads with “new” marking those changed since the last login. If the thread spans more than one page of replies the number of pages is shown. Touch/click on the highest number box to go to the top of the latest page. This can be scrolled down to reach the unread posts.
After reading:
Click/touch home. Click/touch the banner on the new threads summary to repeat.
When done - pull down menu to select all new posts, pull down menu to mark all selected posts read. Click/touch the recent threads summary banner to reset.
This is reasonably effective. It is more steps than the AP forum software but not too onerous.

The "recent threads" is the most useful view and it is good having the button for it at the top of the page - although it is not obvious that the banner heading is a clickable link. Now all I've got to do is to figure out how to do selective quotes as all I needed to post here is your reply to me. Not the whole darned thing. The other day I somehow triggered a plain text view of the page that showed all the control codes which would allow editing out of the unwanted nested material. I can't remember how I did it.

At the bottom of the reply box, click on bbcode. OK - must have touched that by accident the other day. So the whole markup language is called BBCode - It hadn’t occurred to me that the button was a toggle.

Should the Recent Posts display have a scroll facility?

Should the Recent Posts display have a scroll facility? It doesn't have that feature, but if you click on the header it will produce a list that is scrollable.

And, some folk may benefit from bookmarking this link, and just arriving at this page rather than the main forum page if that suits their browsing style.

Thank you for the advice - this website is just sufficiently different from the AP one to sometimes be confusing.

Not a bug or a glitch, but...
Would it be possible to: 1. Have the prev/Next arrows repeated at the bottom of the page, save having to scroll back up to go to the previous/next page? 2. Have posts in a thread numbered?

Have posts in a thread numbered? 1. On my desktop view it is always at the top of the window irrespective of where you have scrolled to on the page. On mobile view it shows at the bottom of the page, as well as the top. 2. I'll have a look, but probably not.

Not exactly a bug nor glitch, but I note that I'm listed as "Junior member" although I'll be 89 in March!
