Going to be steak and ale pie, chips and tomato again. Ran out of ideas and Bolognese sauce which might have been a possibility. I could have defrosted a beef stew with a baked potato but that's more of a Sunday lunch thing.

If minced beef under mashed spud is cslled a cottage pie, and lamb treated the same way is a shepherds pie, would the same treatment of chicken be a henhouse pie, cos that's what I just had.

Funny the things I think about at times. I was just remembering how I used to make sweet and sour poek from scrach. Pork fillet cut into pieces, dipped in a light batter and deep fried till golden and crispy. Sauce from cider vinegar, juice from a tin of pineapple and tomato puree iwth a few bits pf shredded carrot and pineapple thrown in near the end. Boiled plain patna rice. End result delicious. Now I cut open a packet.

Well, my chippy battered cod didn't cause any allergic reaction this time.

Sausages, chips, fried egg and beans in the local Spoon's not haute cuisine but filled me up nicely
