Large homemade hash-brown in the air fryer, bacon in the convection oven and omelette in the omlette pan. With three different things going, timing is everything!

Just popped a Cornish pasty with tinned peeled potatoes to make cheat garlic roasties in the oven then served with marrowfat peas and had some Brie with crackers to follow

Did a venison burger on the hibachi with a few chips and curried baked beans. The burger was close to it's maximum storage time so had to be used quickly.

I like Bambi burgers but prefer Bambi steak or slow cooked Bambi if the cut or age is dubious. Sadly I haven't eaten any Bambi for ages. I used to get it in the supermarket produced by some Scottish game company. This is ridiculous. I cannot buy local venison in my convenient supermarket or local butchers. At the same time deer are destroying local woodland and preventing regeneration. At the same time we are discouraged from eating beef for so called environmental reasons. Why cannot we reduce beef production ever so slightly and cull for good meat and successful forestry, deer. I really am a bit ignorant about this, but just feel that something is wrong. Perhaps Martin, or someone else with country knowledge could enlighten me.

Burger, fries, iced tea x2 (one each, not me just being a greedy git) at Heathrow. More than £40, but that's one for WGMG rather than here.

Captive audience. Never mind, home soon. Hope so. Instead of being home by 8pm it's likely to be close to midnight now. Realised earlier that all 4 parts of the BA tickets have deviated from the original booking. Will at least attempt to get the money back from BA as the lengthy gap is too long to go without eating, especially given how little they provided on board.

Several pints of Loddon Brewery's Hullabaloo, followed by a burger from late-night Oxford legends Peppers Burgers. Finally had one after just over 22 years in the city. TBH I suspect the legendary status is mostly because that are open when all else in that end of the city (Jericho) has shut, but I'd love to know what they do with their chips because they were red-hot all the way to the last one. I reckon they have nuclear fusion fryers.
