Last night had a north African vibe. Spiced lamb with roasted Mediterranean veg and couscous. It was very moorish  Tonight will be teriyaki beef tossed in with some stir fried veg and noodles when I get around to it. |

I think that small jar of tomato with basil sauce on my pasta stripped the enamel from my teeth! Never again.

Got the wok out, prawns, noodles and veg. Had something very similar, with a Thai-inspired sauce I knocked up, and very nice it was too, though I say so myself. |

I got a double cheeseburger and chips from the cafe near work lunchtime. Chips were the usual French fries i.e. rubbish but the burger was amazing! Best burger I have had in years!
So dinner was just garlic bread slices with cheese on top- okay the cheese was cheddar with garlic and some garlic puree was involved but I am in an office on my own tomorrow

Karaage, rice, potato salad, cabbage, soup. Is Japan like Vietnam in the way those dishes come to the table and are eaten? I recall an enormous bowl of soup arriving with our meal and assumed in the end, that we sort of dipped into it as we ate the meat etc. No way could we just sit and sup the soup on its own. |

Fortuitously the thread reminded me to take stuff (pack of mixed game) oot the freezer for tomorrow.
