Who knew? Stone of Destiny leaves Edinburgh for the coronation. Has it had a name change recently? I thought it was amusingly called the Stone of Scone and brought images of jam and clotted cream on an aged rock cake.
Whilst the Welsh are complicating place names you Scotts are making things easier.

Ha! Yes, it is the Stone of Scone (a place in Perth & Kinross) - to us Scots - others may call it differently. Mind you, the Scone of Stone does tickle the imagination.

I don't know how old the airbnb is that we are in for the week in Tuscany, but it is bloody old. The downstairs were big wine cellars. In one of the bedrooms in the downstairs part is this old heater. IMG_5302 by Nigel G, on Flickr IMG_5304 by Nigel G, on Flickr IMG_5303 by Nigel G, on Flickr

Feel quite at home surrounded by old things. Sometimes think I was born 100 years too late, but then....there would have been two world wars to contend with. Anyway, some pics of things to play with 1940's Ruston loco undergoing engine repairs Attachment DeletedDarent, built first in 1903 Attachment DeletedVarious ages Attachment DeletedThese two old girls are also a bit long in the tooth Attachment Deleted

Sticking "old" into my Flickr wasn't very interesting but in LR it threw up some long forgotten and never processed pics from 2009 and well before I started using LR. Just imported from an archive and forgotten. keywords say "Hardwick Old hall" and 'English Heritage" I must have been doing "complicated" _MG_0066.jpg by Pete, on Flickr for some reason I processed this in error. It is easy in LR to select one picture when you think you have selected another. Anyway, as "old" goes it definitely is. _MG_0070.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

A few suggestions for May, Thatch(ed), Hedgerows, Carriages (horse drawn or railway), taps (bathroom, sink etc.), balconies, villages (maybe limit to churches and/or pubs?), piers, stools (furniture music, bar, kitchen etc) roundabouts, lamp shades; have we done clocks, buses?
I have not seen anyone else posting ideas for May, assuming that I have not missed something is everyone ok with me taking dorsetmike 's list and working it up to a month's worth of themes?

Quite a crap shot, I accept. Old hand. Quite literally. This was from the museum of torture. It is a dried severed hand. IMG_5370 by Nigel G, on Flickr
