I was going to start updating at the start of September but now is close enough, I reckon.
Create a WhatsApp group for contacts on the day and in the lead-up?
Things to see probably weather dependent, but I have an area in mind for nice weather, and it has a pub close if its changeable. Any requests for particular things?

Oh right - it was down as Sept 30th in my diary - I'll change it. I've no idea if I can come or not. WhatsApp hasn't worked on my phone for years but no matter. I assume the location/time can also be posted here, come the day.

Yes, I realised I'd double booked myself... unless everyone wants to come to a ploughing match instead?

Yes, I realised I'd double booked myself... unless everyone wants to come to a ploughing match instead? I used to play darts and skittles for The Plough...oh not that sort of match...pity I was looking forward to a fritter cob. (For those not from this neck of the woods, a fritter cob was the usual fare served during a darts or skittles match, a fritter being a slice of potato battered and deep fried and served on a bread roll, known locally as a cob. I'm going now as I've had a beer and given myself the munchies writing this explanation. Anyone know if just eat can get a fritter cob?)

Does the pub have it's own defibrillator? even better-it has it's own brewery attached Nottingham Brewery Mind you it's over forty years since I last went in there so I'm offering no guarantees

Yes, I realised I'd double booked myself... unless everyone wants to come to a ploughing match instead? Sounds good to me. I can't do the October dates.

Looks like I might be able to make it - got more surgery next week. Will be out of action for six weeks for recovery.
