There aren't as many arguments/disagreements/insults as there were on the old forum which is good. I'm not sure why. Incidentally, I have not seen Andrew Flannigan post anything yet. This might be an opportune time to point something out: having looked around the new site I found there is a way to put people on "Ignore", by clicking on their user name and selecting "Block" from the settings icon (like a little cogwheel with a down arrow next to it). Instead of putting them on an ignore list , can you not just wind them up instead ?

I have not been following this thread and apologise for being late to the party. I suspect that the reason that there are fewer arguments/disagreements/insults is that the old forum was corporate and to some extent impersonal. I certainly write things on the Torygraph website that I would never write here. The old site was run by one of 'them'.
This site is run by Martin, and I show far more respect.

Certainly a factor, we know who Martin is, even if most of us have never met him. However it doesn’t take many people to create an argument and if some of those didn’t migrate they can’t be argumentative. Also, in a small community, which we are it is much harder to hide.

Good Morning , Chaps & Chapesses
The AP Forum demise coincided with a cancer diagnosis so I've been going back and forth to Inverness then spent a month there receiving treatment - I also couldn't remember what this new Forum was called [ looked several times without success ] then earlier this week I discovered the information at the back of my phone book [ smiley face ] along with my password .
It's been 13/14 weeks since I came home , the treatment itself was a doddle [ Radiotherapy ] but the side effects after coming home were pretty horrendous - they're just beginning to lessen but still feel very tired .
After a lot of umming & arring I bought myself a ' new ' second-hand camera in September [ just before treatment began ] , a Nikon D7200 with just 1000 clicks - quite pleased with it .
