This is the colour version of a re-edit of a 2015 shoot. I can't post the mono version as I have entered it in a competition in a camera club. I passed over it at the time as I didn't see the potential in it (IMHO). What do you think?

Not convinced about the zip/buttons which appear as highlights. Can see why you'd want something to pull through the murk but not sure they do enough.

There seems to be a significant loss in the shadow detail when I post on-line versus what I see in Lightroom. In lightroom you can even see the texture in the leather jacket. Maybe I should just stick to prints!

I have heard that the sizing algorithms employed by some photo-storing sites are designed for speed rather than quality. I had a bit of a bitch abut it here:- On resizing sharpness

It's working for me, a great sense of mystery and glamour. Same here, the zips and studs really don't bother me the way they are. There's enough there to get away from a floating head.

Same model, same shoot, no jacket. The difference an experienced model makes is amazing - I hadn't a clue what I was doing. But she did!

Am I allowed to comment of the fashion for nasal jewellry? Best to ask first... If you fancy one, go for it. Age is no barrier. I have been trying to persuade my wife to have one.

My comment would not be flattering - perhaps your wife does not need an ugly ring in her nose. I don't understand the desire to to willingly disfigure oneself like this, in such a prominent place. However, I also don't understand organised religion, team sports or the cult of social media celebrities.

You wouldn't like my daughters then. one in each nostril and one in the septum.

I actually find nose studs/rings quite sexy TBH (maybe not on you admittedly). If I was younger I'd probably have one (probably not actually, I think I have the wrong nose for one). There again, from the age of around 14 I had both my ears pierced and in fact it was only last year I had one re done and I wear a stud all of the time in one ear. The only ones I don't like are those in eyebrows .

I'd get a nose piercing (my youngest has one and I really like it) but it took her two goes because the first fell out and the hole closed up so rapidly. I can't be bothered with the faff. I do have an extra ear piercing though - the two 'normal' lobe piercings and a helix piercing. I'm thinking about getting another couple. Mainly because the biggest act of rebellion I can think of (a mahoosive tattoo) is prohibitively expensive but I know the piercings would also annoy my mother! (And I like them.)
