Regarding viewing on large screens We bought a 65” smart tv 2yrs back, I now wish I’d got the 75” instead !! I bought a cheap Blu-ray for dvds, the blu ray has a USB port for photos. Intrigued what jpegs would look like at 65” considering how everyone seems to criticise jpegs in favour of RAW. All I can say is my standards must be very very low as I was gobsmacked by what popped up on the big screen. Hence no desire to move to RAW (just yet). I’m currently experimenting using vintage lenses on my canon M bodies. Great fun and cheap too. Win Win

I've seen that some Fuji folk are now using softening filters (designed for cinematic applications) for stills shooting. Some camera users regardless of brand have an obsession with sharpness, rendering some lenses rather sharper than others find desirable. I found my Fujifilm 23mm f2 little used, too sharp and too contrasty, preferring to use the 18-55 zoom. I can understand their reasons for so doing.
