To stop buying weird old shit for the house! My latest acquisition. It is supposed to be wall mounted but at a metre tall, it is too big for where I wanted it. It'll do here for now. It is supposed to revolve (I can see a little chain inside has slipped off a cog). The cog is moving, so I might take it apart and reattach it. Well, I connected the chain, it spins, but I think the motor/transformer hum might drive us nuts (I am assuming it was a display for a shop, although it is made by an optical equipment company) so I will adapt it and connect the bulb holder straight to a plug, bypassing the units own system so it just becomes a lamp.

If that is the reason, you should see some of the weird videos that the friend starred in, that my daughter did for a uni art installation. One of the lads on her art course, she also shared a flat and a house with. I saw photos of him nude before I'd actually met him in person! |

Have just redecorated the lounge, so a few are awaiting rehanging. And the floor is waiting replacing in a few weeks time, hence the bit missing under the old rusty boiler!
