My Wife has a thing about joining a metal dectecting club ever since watching the Detectorists on TV. Every year it gets rolled out on the possible new hobbies list. I tend to have a permanent deaf ear on the subject.

I have taken up a free Coursera course on Greek and Roman mythology. If I want a stiff kit I'll have to pay but as it's just out of interest I'm not forking out for it.

Help please !!

That’s a couple of things to ponder on a Monday morning-what is a bork (see WGMG), and what is a stiff kit,see above.
ETA, Mick has beaten me to it.

Google is no help, and I'm frightened to consult the Urban Dictionary, but based on the context, I'm assuming a 'stiff kit' is hard copies of the course literature and DVDs of lectures, film footage etc.

That was the penny dropping. So Kath thinks she isn't certifiable, unlike the rest of us?

To be fair, I said I didn't want a certificate (stiff kit). Whether or not I am certifiable, well that's a whole other box of frogs.
