I've had some very nice lagers. Sure, there's mass produced shite like Fosters and Carling, but that would be like saying a bitters are rubbish because you tried Tetley's or John Smith's.

A good pfisting followed by lager. Bit different to my usual Friday night!

Freshly made lagers go well with continental cuisine (especially German/Czech etc.), but it's not a style I'd normally go for. Even in Prague I'd always try to get the dark Kozel rather than the regular one. Düsseldorf style Altbier is nice, again darker and more flavour than a typical lager.

Maybe it's just me, but lager sounds like gargle which is all it's fit for. Or am I being a snob? My consumption of alcoholic beverages is way behind me, the amount of medication 💊 that I take makes it impossible to drink 🍺 anymore so as to you being a snob I can’t answer in the present but many years ago I’d have said yes

You're being a snob Okay I'll happily drink Stella and Carlsberg (but not Fosters or Carling I do have some standards after all!) but I prefer (as long as my bank balance allows them) peach lagers , which are really gorgeous and one of my locals does a Pilsner that is to die for

Silent P? (I do like a silent pee. Nothing worse than listening to one at volume.) Do you prefer pneumonia to pneumatic then.

I quite like some of the German lagers. I don't drink any more but we once went to Munich for Oktoberfest and I enjoyed the Spaten which was way less fizzy than most lagers I've otherwise tried. I hadn't realised they were made stronger for Oktoberfest though. Didn't manage too much of it!
